Adult, Community and Further Education (ACFE) provides lifelong learning opportunities for Victorian adults, contributing to their social, economic, and cultural development as individuals and members of the Victorian community.
The term ACFE is generally used to refer to programs funded by the Government through the Adult, Community and Further Education Board and in turn through the Gippsland Regional Council of ACFE. These programs are offered within the adult and community education (ACE) sector.
i-GAIN is one of 47 Providers of Adult Community and Further Education (ACFE) programs in the Gippsland Region.
At i-GAIN, ACFE funded program areas include:
- Adult Literacy and Basic Education (ALBE) - literacy, numeracy, and basic education courses for learners ranging from those who are just beginning their return to education to those seeking entry to other forms of education and training
- General preparatory programs and bridging programs which includes work preparation programs
- Vocational education programs
